Traxx Restaurant and Bar

The Union Station eatery had been altered numerous times during its life and ultimately abandoned for several years. Only the original stone floor was deemed worthy of preservation. Inspired by the images of fine dining cars on historic trains and the interiors of Los Angeles Union Station, we worked closely with Chef Tara Thomas to create a luxurious dining experience and interior offering that is both contemporary and sympathetic to its historic circumstance. A graphics program and landscape plan for the adjacent south courtyard was also developed during the overall design process to ensure project cohesiveness.
